The ability to communicate complex ideas separates humans from other intelligent species. This unique talent is in a way responsible for every event caused by humans, ever.
The incremental improvements in man-kind’s ability to communicate should be looked at as technological advancements. Over time, this ability exponentially improves. It is important stuff, given that we’re right at the base of the technological growth exponential curve, about to go vertical.
The progression in human communication can be measured in two ways:
1. Speed, which measures the time it takes for an average individual’s idea to spread.
2. Reach, which is the amount of people that an average individual’s idea is spread to.
Over time, the Speed or the Reach of communication for the average person increases. This is a fundamental attribute of the human existence.
